Outsourced Accounting Services?

Question asked by Lewis Chandler - Jul 11, 2013
Question

Hi, I run a small printing services shop and can't afford to hire a dedicated accountant or bookkeeper. I'd like to outsource my accounting functions. What options do I have?

The cheapest option would be to partially outsource your accounting needs to an Application Service Provider (ASP). You can find dozens of ASPs on the Internet which offer bookkeeping, credit control, payroll processing and other accounting services for a relatively small monthly fee. With this option you will still need to have someone on your staff to gather and organize the necessary data. A second option is to turn to a fully outsourced accounting company, which will manage the entire chain for you. You can easily size up these two options by researching accounting service providers and asking for quotes. Many firms offer both options, and most will try to tailor their offer to your needs.
